Subscription or a single preset: what is better value for you

With two or three presets the choice is usually simple: buy them individually at €3.99 each, or pick a pack if you want a whole series in the same style. Doubt only creeps in once you notice you keep coming back for something new. That is when it is worth doing the math.

The math

A Personal subscription costs €49 a year and gives unlimited access to all presets and packs, including new releases. That is the break-even point of roughly twelve to thirteen single presets, or two to three packs. Buy more than that per year and the subscription is better value. Stay under it and single purchases cost you less.

When a pack beats single presets

Want a coherent look for a specific subject, such as Zeezout for coastal images or Bruiloft for wedding photos? A pack is often better value than buying the presets separately. You get a set that is already tuned together, instead of individual styles you have to combine yourself.

Commercial use

Working on commission, with clients or stock photos, calls for the Commercial subscription (€89 a year). A single purchase or the Personal subscription is meant for your own photos only, not paid work.

In short

One style for a one-off project: buy it single or pick a pack. Editing regularly, in changing styles, all year round: that is when the subscription math works in your favour.
